I disappeared for a few months now and I feel like I kinda needed to address that a bit. As you all know it's been a pretty rough few months. I found myself needing a break from thinking. I am an essential worker so I have been working a looooot during this pandemic. While it's good that I still have a job and still getting substantial hours, I find myself not feeling up to posting on here. I want to save the few hours I do have on my own reading books that I want to talk about. I did post a single cover reveal during this time as that was pretty mindless. I hope to eventually get back to regular posting. I don't know when that will be, but I hope that will be soon.
Now onto the reason you all probably clicked on this post. I opened a store on Etsy!
I was browsing on Etsy as I seem to be doing quite often these days. I came across these Blind Book Dates and thought they were so fun. I've seen pictures of these types of things before at bookstores and libraries but I didn't realize they would be on Etsy. I have to admit I wanted to buy from a few of these stores but shipping cost an arm and a leg since all these stores were based in the UK and Australia. I figured why not open my own?
So I opened my own Blind Book Date store on Etsy named Books of a Stack.
The name is supposed to be a play on Birds of a Feather. Not that great, but honestly why are book puns so hard to think of?
For my bookstore, I decided to have a blend of used books and new books all wrapped up with a brief statement written on the front in order to give you an idea of what this book will be like. (Also I doodled on them, but I'm no artist. Don't judge me too harshly.)
Anyway if you're interested please do take a look! I thought it would be a fun little side thing to do. The link to my Etsy shop is linked up above!
I hope you guys are okay in times like these. Please stay safe.
